Everything has it's place & valid uses, and in terms of consoles - worthwhile games. The manufacturers might fan the flames of some percieved "console war" but while the machines offer different experiences there will always be place in the market for them all.

Back when i was in school it was all the same stuff about the SNES vs Genesis / Amiga vs Atari ST. Pretty funny stuff. A lot of the time the popular (often cheaper) platform's owners seem to feel a bit threatened by the more expensive systems. On the other hand the more expensive console/computer owners end up with some sort of complex about the possibility of their platform failing due to comparatively less commercial success. - Which is silly in the current market!
There are a lot of great games for both systems.. And the PC! It's not as much of a competition as people make it out to be. Rarrgh.
